How to keep prices up to date
Sforix prices come from players who run the Albion Data Client. Install it and keep it open while you play: prices in the cities you visit stay fresh, for you and for everyone.
- 1
Download the Albion Data Client
It is free and open source. On the releases page, download the Windows installer (the file ending in "installer.exe"). There are also Linux and macOS versions.
- 2
Install it and open it before the game
Follow the installer. It may ask to install Npcap, used to read the game's network traffic, and Windows may ask for network permission: accept. The Data Client then runs next to the Windows clock.
- 3
Play and open the market
Nothing to configure. Every time you open a city's market and look at an item, the prices you see are uploaded automatically.
- 4
See it in Sforix
In the calculator, every price shows its city and how long ago it was seen. The prices you saw show up there within minutes; with PLUS, the "Refresh prices" button fetches them right away.
Tips for better prices
- Look at both tabs of an item in the market, buy and sell, so both sides of the price get updated.
- Visit the markets of the cities where you buy and sell. Those are exactly the prices that matter most for your numbers.
- Keep the Data Client open whenever you play. It does not slow the game and keeps prices fresh with no effort.
Is it safe?
The Albion Data Client is a third-party, open-source program the community has used for years. It only reads the market data that reaches your computer; it does not change the game or ask for your account. It is not made by Sforix or Sandbox Interactive: you use it at your own risk and must follow the game's terms.
